In this regard practitioner members must sign a skilled-helping code-of-ethics irrespective of whether they are counsellors, coaches, facilitators, mediators or other professional-, or practitioner skilled helpers.
I originally studied Commerce and subsequently attained the Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Narrative Therapy. My great loves are people, dogs, outdoor walks and more! I chose therapy because I believe transformation is possible when people reword their life stories built on the foundation of their resilience and lived wisdoms. What a privilege to attest to this journey of change. I believe in second chances, in hope and that we are NOT our problems. Please, come on in and have a seat. You are welcome!
My favourite quote is a book title by Louie Giglio – “Don’t give the enemy a seat at your table.” The back story standing on Psalm 23, verse 5, (NIV – A Psalm of David): “You (God) prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” The wonder of this verse is that our enemies are not invited to sit down and join us; I firmly believe we are protected by His power and love for us.
