Suria Terblanche

My name is Suria, I am a member of Signo Professional Association and have signed a SignoPro ethics code of conduct in the interest of my clients and my growth as a practitioner.

“A walk along the beach offers the gift of the unexpected.

Scan the horizon and glimpse the endless possibilities.

Stroll head down and encounter one natural treasure after another.

Tease the tides and feel a sense of adventure.

Dive into the surf and experience the rush of risk”

If this quotation resonates with you, we have a lot in common. I live in the beautiful town of Mossel Bay in the Western Cape.  At the end of 2019, I completed an Advance Course in Pastoral Narrative Therapy which is affiliated with the University of Pretoria. After completing my Supervision in 2021, I started serving my community as a Pastoral Narrative Therapist.

I have a special compassion for people who suffered Trauma and trauma related problems as well as people struggling with the dark voices of depression, anxiety, and addiction.  I believe that learning is an ongoing process, and I am currently in my third year of Alumni studies, and I continuously enroll for new courses, online and in person, to broaden my field of knowledge.

If weather permits, we can take our therapy sessions to a bench on the beach where we can reconnect with nature and awaken our senses. As your therapist I will listen to your story, not knowing and without any judgement. I firmly believe that the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem. You have the skills, competencies, beliefs, values, and abilities to live a preferred life free from the influence of the problem. By means of externalizing language we will identify and overcome the influence of the problem on your life. This will enable you to take ownership of your new life.

I am looking forward to meeting you. Contact me for an appointment at +27 83 442 2071.
