Motherhood and grandparenting have gifted me with a profound appreciation for the endless creativity of young minds. The imagination of a child never ceases to captivate me. With training in art healing and narrative therapy, I am dedicated to helping children discover their voices and to find meaning during troubled times through stories and art. A magical King and a butterfly family can bring order to the world of a child as a gift from their imagination.
Inspired by the beauty of art and the wonders of God’s creation, I find solace and motivation in nature’s splendour. My Christian ethos forms the foundation of who I am, guiding my steps and helping me to help others with compassion. Like a gentle shiny beacon, Charlie Mackesy’s life lessons through art and story for children speaks to me deeply, as does the timeless message of Dr Seuss’ The Lorax, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not”.
My hobbies revolve around making things beautiful, whether through crafting or creating spaces of peace and joy, I like to bring something special to everything I do. My favourite adventure is going on safari, where I immerse myself in the raw, untamed beauty of the wild.
Drawing inspiration from “The Butterfly Circus” I believe in the transformative power of hope and resilience. Just as the characters in the movie find beauty and strength within themselves, I strive to help children uncover their own inner strength and courage through their imaginative stories and art. In my practice, I endeavor to weave narratives of hope and resilience, empowering children to navigate their challenges with courage and creativity.
