In this regard practitioner members must sign a skilled-helping code-of-ethics irrespective of whether they are counsellors, coaches, facilitators, mediators or other professional-, or practitioner skilled helpers. My name is Esti le Roux, I am a member of Signo Professional Association and have signed a code of conduct in the interest of my clients and my growth as practitioner.
As a qualified Foundation Phase teacher I completed an Advance Course in Pastoral Narrative Therapy in 2021 which is recognised by the University of Pretoria. After completing my Supervision in 2022, I started serving my community in Mossel Bay as a Pastoral Narrative Therapist.
My interests are especially in trauma counselling. People who endured trauma and trauma related problems.
I am currently in my second year of Alumni studies and I see learning as an ongoiing journey.
As your therapist I will listen to your story, not knowing and without any judgement. I believe that the person is not the problem. The problem is the problem. You have the ability, skills, beliefs and values to live a preferred life free from the toxic voices that influence the problem. By means of externalising language we will identify the problem and overcome the influence it has on your life. It will help you to take ownership of your life.
